Circle City Classic Scholarships

Overview and selection
- Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need and to students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college. A review committee will assess candidates using the information submitted on the application. Awards are financed by proceeds from the Circle City Classic Football Game and will be paid once the recipient is enrolled full time at a post-secondary institution.
Eligibility requirements
- Be a high school senior or an undergraduate student.
- Be a resident of Indiana.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Plan to enroll full time at an accredited college, university, community or junior college, or vocational/technical program for the academic year covered by the award.
- Demonstrate financial need and/or qualify as a first-generation college student (the first member of your immediate family to enroll in post-secondary education).
- Be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. lawful permanent resident holding a valid Alien Registration Receipt Card (INS Form I-551, commonly called a “green card”).
- Complete and submit the scholarship application.
Restrictions and award conditions
- Applicants may not be relatives of members of the IBE Board of Directors or staff. This includes (but is not limited to) children, siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, first cousins, grandparents, nieces, and nephews.
- If a recipient is placed on academic probation by their university, they will not be eligible to receive the second installment of the annual scholarship disbursement.
