Michigan Elks Gold Key Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Michigan Elks
Introduction
The Gold Key Scholarship is awarded through a rolling, quarterly review process. To be considered, applicants must meet the submission requirements and observe the posted quarterly deadlines.
Required documents
Every applicant must submit two forms: the Student Profile Form and the Parent/Guardian Statement with Financial Information Form. Both must be filled out and uploaded online at the same time as the scholarship application. Applications that are incomplete or lack any required documentation will not be evaluated.
Quarterly application schedule and deadlines
Applications are accepted year‑round but are reviewed only at the end of each quarter. To be included in a given review period, your initial application and all supporting documents must be uploaded by the quarter’s closing date.
Application deadlines by quarter:
- Quarter 1: Opens January 1 — Closes March 1
- Quarter 2: Opens April 1 — Closes June 1
- Quarter 3: Opens July 1 — Closes September 1
- Quarter 4: Opens October 1 — Closes December 1
Renewals
Renewal (continuing student) applications become available each year on November 1.
Review timeline and notifications
Submitted applications are evaluated after each quarter ends. Applicants will receive notice of award decisions within 30 to 60 days following the close of the quarter in which they applied.
