Incight Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by INCIGHT
Helping students and educators realize their potential. Since 2004, INCIGHT has granted more than 1,033 scholarships to students with disabilities who are pursuing higher education. Recipients have attended community colleges, universities, vocational schools, and graduate programs. INCIGHT awards scholarships to students who have overcome personal challenges and demonstrated strong community service. Many scholars continue to support and volunteer with INCIGHT after graduation.

Eligibility
- Residency: You must currently live in Washington, Oregon, or California.
- Disability: You must have a documented disability as defined by the ADA, DSM‑V, IDEA, or another official authority. Eligible classifications include (but are not limited to):
- Autism
- Deaf-blindness
- Deafness
- Developmental delay
- Emotional disturbance
- Hearing impairment
- Intellectual disability
- Multiple disabilities
- Orthopedic impairment
- Other health impairment
- Specific learning disability
- Speech or language impairment
- Traumatic brain injury
- Visual impairment, including blindness
- Enrollment in higher education during the funding cycle following your application (2025–26 school year): You must be attending college, university, community college, or vocational/technical school and may be pursuing any degree level (Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, etc.).
- Proof of enrollment: You must be enrolled and provide enrollment verification to INCIGHT.

- All application materials must be received by midnight on the April due date to be considered. Applicants are responsible for verifying that all fields are complete and that the submission was successful through the online system.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What counts as a documented disability?
Any condition identified as a disability under ADA standards or classified under DSM‑V qualifies. Students who receive Social Security disability benefits, or whose disability qualifies them for an IEP or 504 plan under IDEA, are eligible.
2. How do I submit an application?
The INCIGHT scholarship application is submitted exclusively online.
3. What is the application deadline?
All materials must be submitted by midnight on the April due date. Confirm completion and submission via the online portal.
4. Can I apply if I am already enrolled in higher education?
Yes. Current students and incoming students (including graduating high school seniors and adult learners) are eligible.
5. Is the scholarship nationwide?
No. Eligibility is limited to residents of Oregon, Washington, and California.
6. Do financial need or grades affect decisions?
INCIGHT does not use financial need as a criterion. Academic performance is considered but is not the sole deciding factor. The emphasis is on community involvement and the applicant’s motivation to pursue higher education.

8. When will recipients be notified?
Selected applicants will be notified in June 2026.
9. When and how is funding disbursed?
INCIGHT sends scholarship funds directly to the recipient’s school. Awards are paid in two installments: one-half in the Fall and the other half in the Winter.
10. Is there a community service requirement?
Yes. INCIGHT Scholars must complete either 30 hours of community service or volunteer at one INCIGHT event.
11. How much is the award?
The typical INCIGHT Scholarship amount is $500. Award amounts may increase for scholars who reapply.
