Introductory summary
Please submit a completed, typed application packet by the posted deadline. You may complete the application online and print it for submission. All required documents listed below must be gathered into one packet and mailed together.
Required materials
- A completed application form (typed; online completion and printing is acceptable).
- Official school transcript.
- A copy of your most recent (previous year’s) tax return.
- Two signed letters of recommendation from faculty members of your prior educational institution; each letter should be submitted in a sealed envelope.
Important conditions
- Proof of acceptance into an educational program must be provided before any scholarship funds will be released.
- Applications will be kept confidential; however, the names of scholarship awardees may be made public.
- Former applicants may reapply, but preference will be given to first-time applicants.
- Scholarship funding is generated by the AAUW–Reading Branch/Friends of the Library Book Bonanza held each summer.
