Introduction The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) is accepting scholarship applications for students who will be enrolled full-time at a community college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year. Eligible applicants include college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Scholarship awards may be used to pay tuition. Award amount and announcement A total of up to $9,000.00 in scholarships will be distributed for the 2026–2027 academic year. All awardees will receive notification by email. Scholarship recipients may also be publicly announced at the OCA Mid-Year meeting on June 26, 2026, in Madras, Oregon. Who may apply - Applicants must be current members of the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association or the children of current members. - Students must be enrolled full-time for the 2026–2027 academic year and be classified as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student. - All academic majors are eligible, but applicants should demonstrate some connection or relevance to the livestock industry. How scholarship funds are paid The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association will issue scholarship payments directly to the recipient’s institution to be applied toward tuition charges. Application instructions and submission - Complete the attached application in full. Applications must be postmarked, emailed, faxed, or hand-delivered on or before the published deadline to be considered. Late applications will not be reviewed. - Hand-delivered applications must arrive before the OCA office closes at 5:00 PM. - Email completed application materials to jem.connelly@orcattle.com (subject line: Scholarship) or fax them to (503) 361-8947. Mail or deliver physical copies to the OCA office as noted on the application. - It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the application and all supporting materials are received by the OCA by the deadline. - Use the current application form (the top of the form will show the applicable academic year). Applications submitted on outdated forms will not be accepted. - If additional pages are needed to answer questions, include them using the same application format and clearly identify which question each extra page addresses. Do not use report covers or binders. Transcripts Include official transcripts covering the applicant’s last full academic year. If the applicant attended more than one school during that year, transcripts from each institution must be submitted. Signature and authorization - The application must include your signature and complete contact information. Applications missing required information or a signature will be considered ineligible. - Attach any additional documents necessary for clarity or to provide sufficient space for answers.
