Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship

Description
The Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship (Academic) supports Idaho residents who have graduated or will be graduating from an Idaho high school or who completed Idaho homeschool programs. Eligible recipients must hold an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 and plan to enroll at a qualifying Idaho college or university. Awards provide up to $5,000 per academic year and may be renewed for as many as four years.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must satisfy every item below:
- Be a resident of Idaho.
- Have graduated from—or expect to graduate from—an Idaho public or private high school, or from an Idaho homeschool program.
- Maintain an unweighted cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Plan to enroll full-time for the upcoming academic year (beginning with the fall semester).
- Enroll at one of the approved Idaho colleges or universities (see View Schools for the list).
- Submit a personal statement of approximately 500 words describing your goals and interests.
- Provide documentation demonstrating volunteer service, community leadership, or public service involvement.
- Include two letters of recommendation.
Award Details
- Amount: Up to $5,000 per academic year.
- Renewal: Renewable for up to four years, contingent on meeting renewal criteria and continued eligibility.
