The Taiwanese American Scholarship Fund supports Taiwanese American students from low-income families who are pursuing higher education but face financial barriers. The program’s goal is to help eligible youth continue their studies and reach their academic goals.
Eligibility
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident (holder of a Permanent Resident Card) and a direct blood descendant of a Taiwanese citizen.
- Must be living in the United States and be either a high school senior or a first‑year college student.
- Must intend to enroll full time in a U.S. college or university as a first‑ or second‑year student in the fall semester of 2026. (If selected, high school seniors will need to provide an official college acceptance letter for verification.)
- Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 (high school or college).
- Household income must meet the Federal/State/County definition of low income. Selected applicants must be able to present a 2024 or 2025 tax return for income verification.
- Applicants from any field of study are welcome — the scholarship is open to all majors.
If awarded, recipients will be required to produce a short YouTube video; specific instructions for that submission will be given to awardees at a later date.
