Eligibility
- Michigan high school seniors who have earned a varsity letter in an MHSAA‑sanctioned sport and hold an unrounded GPA of 3.50 or higher may apply.
- Students participating in early or middle college programs are eligible to apply during their final year of athletic eligibility.
Overview
For 37 years the MHSAA, in partnership with Farm Bureau Insurance, has celebrated Michigan’s top student‑athletes. This year, the program will again grant 32 scholarships of $2,000 each. Recipients are selected based on athletic and activity achievement, demonstrated leadership, and their responses to short-answer questions and an essay. Many regard this award as one of the most prestigious presented by the MHSAA each year.

2. A record of athletic teams and extracurricular involvement, emphasizing accomplishments and leadership roles
3. Two short-answer prompts asking how your experiences in high school sports and activities have affected you
4. A 500-word essay discussing the role and importance of sportsmanship in scholastic athletics
5. Two letters of recommendation
