Overview
The Colorado Farm Show provides scholarships to students committed to making a meaningful impact in their communities and in agriculture. Awards are available to those pursuing agriculture- or vocational-related study at colleges, universities, or trade schools.
Recent awards
This year the Colorado Farm Show granted scholarships to twelve high school seniors and two college students, distributing $29,000 to support their continuing education. With these grants, the Colorado Farm Show has awarded a total of $370,000 in scholarship assistance to date. The Colorado Farm Show Board extends its best wishes to all recipients as they continue their studies.
Scholarship opportunities (number of awards and amount)
- Rolling Scholarship (2 awards) — $4,000 each
A four-year renewable scholarship for graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in a four-year college or university and pursue an agriculture degree. Recipients must submit proof of enrollment each year by JULY 1 to maintain renewal.
- Chuck Urano Memorial Scholarship (6 awards) — $2,000 each
One-time awards for graduating high school seniors entering a two- or four-year college or university to study an agriculture-related field.
- Carl Luther Memorial Vo-Tech Scholarship (2 awards) — $2,000 each
One-time scholarships for graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue a vocational program at a two-year college or vo‑tech school.
- Secondary Scholarship (2 awards) — $1,500 each
Awards for previous Colorado Farm Show scholarship recipients who are currently enrolled in secondary education in an agricultural or vo‑tech field.
- Friend of the Show Scholarship (2 awards) — $1,000 each
One-time scholarships for graduating high school seniors who have volunteered with the Colorado Farm Show (or have an immediate family member who has) and who plan to study in an agriculture or vo‑tech program at a two- or four-year college, university, or vo‑tech school.
- Allen F. Marick Scholarship (1 award) — $1,500
A one-time award for a graduating high school senior planning to pursue an agriculture degree at a two- or four-year college or university.
