Parkersburg Area Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Parkersburg Area Community Foundation
The PACF is dedicated to expanding educational access and success for students across its 11-county service area.
Key date
- The Foundation’s Consolidated Scholarship Application becomes available on December 1, 2025.
Before you apply — recommended steps
- Complete the FAFSA and download your Student Aid Report (SAR). You will be required to upload the SAR with your application. Filing the FAFSA does not obligate you to accept aid — it simply identifies what funding you may qualify for.
- Compile a list of your achievements, activities, honors, and work experience.
- Start drafting your career goals essay (see prompt below).
Career goals essay prompt (what you should address)
- Describe your career objectives and explain how the school you plan to attend will help you reach them. Explain how you selected your major and career path, and discuss a person or event that influenced those choices.
About the consolidated application
- Through the Foundation’s online consolidated scholarship application, eligible high school seniors and college students can apply to many scholarships using a single submission. A small number of Foundation scholarships are not included in the consolidated application and are available separately.
How to access and complete the online application
1. Go to: www.pacfwv.com/Scholarships/Apply.
2. At the start you will create a username and password. Save those credentials — you may need them to return and edit your application.
3. You will answer basic eligibility questions; based on your responses you will be matched with Foundation scholarships. Review your matches and confirm you meet each scholarship’s eligibility requirements.
4. Complete the application items and upload required documents (including your FAFSA Student Aid Report). You may apply to any or all of the scholarships for which you qualify.
5. You do not need to finish in one session — you can save progress and return later. However, once you click “submit” for a scholarship/application, you cannot make changes.
6. After submitting the final page, you should receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive that confirmation, contact the Foundation for assistance.
If you have questions or need help at any point, contact the PACF for support.
