Introduction
The George E. Allen Academic Scholarship honors the legacy of our founder, George E. Allen, Sr. Mr. Allen faced significant adversity in his youth — including the tragic death of his mother — and supported himself through both college and law school. He later established Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen, which has become one of Virginia’s and the nation’s leading personal injury law practices. This scholarship recognizes students who, despite personal hardships, have achieved strong academic results and demonstrated perseverance.

Award
- Amount: $2,000 each
Who may apply (Eligibility)
- Current high school seniors attending a Virginia high school.
- Planning to pursue post‑secondary education, which may include college, nursing programs, business studies, trade or technical training, or similar advanced education. Your future program does not need to be located in Virginia.
Application materials and process
To apply, submit a completed application form together with:
- A copy of your high school transcript demonstrating academic improvement and high achievement (must be included by the application deadline).
- Two letters of recommendation. One recommender must be a teacher or a guidance counselor.
- A personal statement describing the most significant personal challenge you have faced and explaining how you addressed and overcame it.
All items must be provided at the same time; incomplete or piecemeal submissions will not be considered.
Important dates (Application timeline)
- Application opens: December 5, 2025
- Application deadline (all materials received): March 6, 2026
- Scholarship recipients notified: April 10, 2026
Additional requirement
- Every section of the application must be filled out completely and submitted with all supporting documents. Applications missing required components will be ineligible.
