Scholarship Award
- One-time payment of $500.00. Funds will be issued to the recipient’s institution of higher learning, or to the student directly if proof of enrollment is provided to the WAA.
Purpose
- This award exists to advance knowledge of the auction profession and to encourage individuals to consider auctions as a full-time career. It is intended for applicants who demonstrate honesty, intelligence, and a sincere commitment to their life and career objectives.
Application Requirements (submit electronically)
Please include the following items when you send your application package:
1. Completed Application Information Page.
2. A personal statement (500 words or fewer) describing your educational plans and career goals.
3. A resume or list of activities, honors, and community involvement.
4. Three letters of recommendation (examples: teacher, church or community leader, current or former employer).
5. An official academic transcript.
6. Proof of Wyoming residency.
Deadline and Submission
- The full application packet must be submitted electronically by February 15. PDF files are preferred. Email all materials to: wyoauctioneers@gmail.com
Eligibility
- Graduates or prospective graduates of an accredited Wyoming high school, or students who have completed the preceding year at an accredited college or other institution of higher education, are eligible.
- Applicants must be Wyoming residents.
- Applicants should be serious about enrolling in and completing a program at an institution of higher learning.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
- Preference may be given to applicants who are relatives of an active WAA member in good standing, provided they meet the graduation or postsecondary enrollment criteria described above.
