The Kansas Society of CPAs Educational Foundation is accepting applications for its annual accounting scholarships. Our online application system is designed to make applying fast and straightforward.
About the Foundation
The KSCPA Educational Foundation has a long-standing commitment to supporting college students and accounting programs at Kansas institutions. Each year the Foundation awards four scholarships to qualifying applicants who show a clear interest in pursuing careers in accounting. Recipients are chosen by the KSCPA Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. Submission of an application is required for consideration.

- Byron Bird — $3,000
- Eligible: Graduate accounting majors (or graduate candidates) enrolled at any Kansas college or university
- Number awarded: 1
- Deadline: February 15, 2026
- John J. Killian — $2,500
- Eligible: Accounting majors in their junior year at Kansas independent colleges and universities
- Number awarded: 1
- Deadline: February 15, 2026
- Mary Ellen Kirkpatrick — $2,500
- Eligible: Accounting majors in their junior year at any Kansas college or university
- Number awarded: 1
- Deadline: February 15, 2026
- Ethnically Diverse Student — $2,500
- Eligible: Accounting majors in their junior year at any Kansas college or university

Application Requirements
- Be a current full-time graduate student (or candidate) concentrating in accounting coursework.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance within the accounting curriculum.
- Submit a completed scholarship application and include a copy of your transcript and a current resume.
- Provide two references who will complete a questionnaire: one reference addressing your public service or community involvement and one addressing your accounting academic performance (for example, an accounting professor or other faculty member).
- Write and submit a short essay (600 words) describing your most meaningful achievement and how it connects to your future goals.
- The application portal allows you to save progress and return later to finish (start and stop as needed).
