Introduction
This scholarship is open to students preparing to begin or already enrolled in undergraduate study in Idaho. Read the eligibility requirements and application steps below carefully before submitting.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a graduating high school senior or a current undergraduate student.
- Intend to attend or be currently enrolled full-time at a public or private two- or four-year college or university located in Idaho.
- Be planning to major in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics, OR be a current Wildland Firefighter enrolled in any college major.
- Have at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA.
Documents Required
Please include the following with your application:
- A copy of your most recent unofficial transcript (high school or college).
- A written statement (1–3 pages) addressing:
- Your educational and career goals;
- Involvement in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, honors, awards, or leadership roles;
- Employment history and whether you intend to work while in college;
- Reasons you believe you should receive this scholarship.
How to Apply
- Fill out pages 1 and 2 of the application form and attach the items listed above.
- Merge all application documents into a single PDF file. Submissions as Google Docs will not be accepted.
- Email the combined PDF to scholarships@idahocf.org.
Deadline and Other Important Information
All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. MST on March 15th. Applications that are late or incomplete will not be considered.
