AFCCE Scholarships — Combined Application — Fall 2026

Overview
AFCCE awards cash scholarships each Spring and Fall to students at the junior, senior and graduate levels who intend to pursue careers in telecommunications engineering. A single application will be used to consider candidates for all AFCCE-administered scholarships.

Scholarships administered
- AFCCE Scholarship (typical award range: $500–$2,500)
- IEEE Broadcast Technology Society / AFCCE Jules Cohen Memorial Scholarship (awards of $5,000 or $10,000; cumulative limit $15,000). Note: applicants for this scholarship must demonstrate an interest in broadcast engineering or broadcast technology.
- E. Noel Luddy Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by Dielectric, Inc.; awards up to $2,500)
- Byron St. Clair Memorial Scholarship (awards up to $1,000; open to lower-division and community college students)

Application timing
Applications submitted after the published cut-off will be held and may be evaluated for the following semester.

How to apply
Complete the combined application for Fall 2026 — one submission is sufficient for consideration for any or all scholarships for which you qualify.

Eligibility requirements
For consideration for the AFCCE Scholarship, the IEEE BTS/AFCCE Jules Cohen Memorial Scholarship, and the E. Noel Luddy Memorial Scholarship:
- Must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program at a 4-year institution in the United States or Canada.
- Undergraduate applicants must have junior or senior standing for the semester applied for.
- Graduate applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s or Doctoral program.
- Must be majoring in, or taking coursework related to, the telecommunications engineering field (an engineering major is not required).

For consideration for the Byron St. Clair Memorial Scholarship:
- Open to part-time or full-time students in associate or 4‑year programs at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges, or applied technical schools in the United States or Canada.
- Must be majoring in, or taking courses related to, broadcast engineering or broadcast technology (an engineering major is not required).

Donations and corporate support
- Individual donations to the AFCCE Scholarship Fund are accepted at any time and help support training future broadcast engineers.
- Corporate contributions can be made online and are acknowledged at these levels: Bronze $250, Silver $500, Gold $1,000, Platinum $2,000.

Selection process
Applicants who meet eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the AFCCE Scholarship Committee and considered for any scholarships for which they qualify. Awards, amounts, and the number of recipients vary by scholarship.
