Overview
The North Dakota Space Grant (NDSGC) offers scholarship support to exceptional students enrolled at affiliated institutions. Each affiliate identifies eligible candidates and forwards selected awardee information to NDSGC. Awards are intended for students pursuing degrees that contribute to a capable, diverse STEM workforce for NASA, North Dakota, and the nation. Scholarships may be granted for either the fall or spring semester.
Award Amount
Scholarships are funded up to $2,500 each.
Eligibility
To qualify, the student must:
- Attend an NDSGC affiliate college or university (NDSU and UND are excluded);
- Be a U.S. citizen;
- Be in good academic standing at their institution;
- Be pursuing a degree in STEM or STEM Education.
Note: Nursing majors are not eligible for NDSGC scholarships, in accordance with NASA rules and regulations. For additional eligibility and funding information, consult the NDSGC homepage.
Application Deadlines
Deadlines differ by institution. Contact your campus Financial Aid Office for institution-specific schedule information.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit the completed application form and one faculty letter of recommendation to their institution’s Office of Financial Aid. Bismarck State College (BSC) students should complete the online form referenced below. If your school is not included in the institution-specific instructions, reach out to your Financial Aid Office for guidance.

Send your application, faculty letter of recommendation, and a one-page personal essay describing your current and future educational goals and how the scholarship relates to them to lrsc.financialaid@lrsc.edu.
