Understanding the significance of advanced education in both our personal and professional lives, Pretty Photoshop Actions is thrilled to maintain its annual $500 scholarship. This recurring scholarship offers students at colleges and universities a chance to secure funds to support their educational journey and realize their ambitions.

ANNOUNCEMENT AND DISBURSEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP

  • Every year, the cut-off date for scholarship applications is October 15th. The winning submission will be featured on the Pretty Actions Blog.
  • The winner will receive an email notification four weeks post the deadline.
  • A panel of judges from Pretty Presets & Actions will meticulously evaluate all scholarship entries.
  • The annual winner will receive a scholarship of $500 USD in the form of a co-payable check, which will be sent to the college or university the winner is attending.

GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP ENTRY

Conduct thorough research and craft an essay-style Adobe Photoshop tutorial of a minimum of 800 words. This should INCLUDE ORIGINAL SCREENSHOTS AND PHOTOS to demonstrate your points on one of the topics listed below:

Select one of the following topics for your tutorial essay:

  1. A How-To tutorial using Photoshop or Overlays for Photoshop.
  2. A unique tutorial related to photography.
  3. Top tips for enhancing color in Photoshop.
  4. Ideas for Photoshop overlays to make your photos stand out.
  5. The impact of Photoshop on the evolution of photography.

Ensure your essay is written with correct grammar and punctuation.

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY

The following are the eligibility criteria for student entries:

  1. You must currently be a high school senior;
  2. Or be transitioning from high school to a college or university;
  3. Or be already enrolled in a college or university within the United States or Canada.
  4. Employees and their immediate family members of Pretty Lightroom Presets and Actions are not eligible to participate.

SUBMISSION OF YOUR ENTRY

  • Send your essay in Microsoft Word document or plain text format to scholarship@photoshopactions.com.
  • Include your name, phone number, email address, and postal address. Your contact details will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed.
  • You can review our privacy policy here.
  • Provide the name of the college or university and the mailing address of their financial aid office that you are currently attending or plan to attend after high school.
  • Attach a headshot photo of yourself in .JPG or .PNG format that is at least 300 pixels wide.
  • If we do not receive all the required information by the deadline, your submission may be disqualified.
