Annually, the Titus County Fair Association presents scholarships to a male and female graduate residing in Titus County, to support their further studies at a university, college, or vocational school. Each scholarship is valued at $3000. This year, we are extending our support by offering two more scholarships, each worth $2000, to the candidates who secure the third and fourth positions. The Out of County Judging Committee will select the recipients based on merit.

Applicant Eligibility

  • The selection process will consider the following:
  • The academic performance of the student in high school
  • Admission eligibility for a college or university
  • Leadership qualities exhibited in school and community activities
  • Involvement in the Titus County Fair
  • Financial necessity
  • Character
  • Future aspirations

Application Process

Applicants can download the application form from the Online Application portal.

Applicants are required to attach the following:

  • A small-sized photograph
  • High school academic transcript
  • A statement outlining college and career plans. This should include personal and/or biographical details that could be beneficial or of interest to the selection committee.

Information for Scholarship Recipients

  • Each scholarship will be disbursed directly to the student in two separate payments.
  • The first payment will be made upon verification of enrollment for a minimum of 12 hours at a college or university.
  • The second payment will be made upon verification of completion of a 12-hour semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and enrollment for a second semester with a minimum of 12 hours.
  • Recipients have a two-year window from their graduation date to claim their awards. For instance, winners in 2025 who graduate in May 2026 will have until the Spring Semester of 2028 to utilize the scholarship.
