Chemical Engineering Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by American Institute of Chemical Engineers
Purpose
This scholarship supports the mission of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) by providing financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in chemical engineering. The award recognizes strong academic achievement as well as involvement in school and community activities. It is not awarded solely on the basis of financial need; rather, it targets students who have shown excellence in core academic subjects and who are likely to succeed in a chemical engineering degree program.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from the Mid-Michigan tri-city area or an adjacent county.
- The candidate must plan to enroll in an ABET-accredited chemical engineering program.
- If the applicant will not be entering a traditional four-year institution with an ABET-accredited chemical engineering major, the application must include a clear explanation of how the proposed alternative pathway will lead to an accredited chemical engineering degree.
Award Details
- Total award: $2,000, paid out over four years.
- Intended for students demonstrating a strong record in core academic courses and a high likelihood of completing a chemical engineering degree.
